I love math but college is completely RUINING it for me! :( I don't know whether to scream or cry or both!! So mad I HAD to eat something. I fought myself over whether to eat the goodies set aside for Saturday's 'free day' or go the right path and eat carrots. I settled for carrots and a tomato. While I feel better about my decision I don't feel better about math. I REALLY want one of those cream filled cupcakes... or even some gingersnaps with a glass of milk right now.
Back to ... I can't say it :(
Thanks for listening to me vent. <3

Another day in paradise...
Well, I finally received my book - The Four Hour Body. I am eager to get started. I really like the way this guy thinks and how he was so blatantly open in this book. His big thing is minimal effective dose. He defines this as 'the smallest dose that will produce a desired outcome'. ME LIKEY!!!! Call me lazy but this sounds like a good plan for me. It makes sense, too. "To boil water, the MED is 212*F at standard air pressure. Boiled is boiled. Higher temperatures will not make it "more boiled." Higher temperatures just consume more resources that could be used for something else more productive.
If you need 15 mins in the sun to trigger a melanin response, 15 mins is your MED for tanning. More than 15 mins is redundant and will just result in burning and a forced break from the beach. During this forced break from the beach, let's assume one week, someone else who heeded his natural 15-min MED will be able to fit in four more tanning sessions. He is four shades darker, whereas you have returned to your pale pre-beach self."
Tim says to have a day off, suggesting Saturday (which works for me). On said day off, I am allowed to eat anything I want in whatever portions I want. While this sounds a bit dangerous his reasoning for this is I will be sick of it for the rest of the week and won't be tempted (SERIOUSLY hoping he is right). He says to start 5 days before the day off so my plan starts tomorrow (Monday, July 11). The main thing is to avoid 'white' foods like bread and rice or any food that can be white. However, he does recommend eggs (white yolk??) and egg yolks so I'm not sure how that works but I'm not willing to question his logic at this point (crossing my fingers and praying this will work, instead).
So on to the plan. I have a short shopping list prepared and will be heading out to make those purchases shortly. I have Rachael Ray's app on my iPod to help me come up with recipes to keep me interested in the foods available to me. But more importantly, I have the desire to kick my latest weightloss program into high gear and see where it takes me.
I am hoping this will be the last phase in my program so keep your fingers crossed and keep cheering me on.
Thanks for all of your support. See you soon!
