I'm just going to throw all 3 days on this post...

April 8, 2011 – Forgot to go weigh-in before class…

Of course I remembered 10 minutes before my class started so I didn’t have time to get there, weigh-in and get back in time and of course right after class I worked until 5p.  I decided to let it go for this week.  I put a reminder in my phone and iPod so I won’t forget next week.

Now for the drama of the day, I think I may have just been recruited onto the women’s tennis league in Brookings.  Not sure how I feel about that but it could be a good idea.  It doesn’t run too long so I wouldn’t be putting them out when I leave at the end of July.

As for my day, instead of my usual 1hr of tennis I spent 2½ hrs on the court to ‘counteract’ my flub of the day.  I gave in to temptation and opened a bag of my homemade cookies.  It was only 3 cookies but that bag led to a second bag, and then a third… so I took the rest of the cookies to work and gave them away.  I will have to find a different way to raise funds for my trip.  Obviously goodies are out of the question. L

The icing on the cake that was my day, I just checked my email and found ISV (the company I’m working with on afore mentioned trip) just tacked on another $100 because of freaking fuel prices on the rise.  Why the heck can’t people walk those few blocks to work/school/etc?  Or carpool?  It is up to us to change the way this country is heading… and we SUCK at it!

As if this latest sucker punch weren’t bad enough, now I hear there is a good chance of RAIN this weekend?!?  WTF!!!  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Not quite done complaining but I’ll move on as I am quite sure you really don’t want to hear any more of my tantrum…

April 9, 2011 – GRRRRRRRR!  Rain L

Only got a 30 min game of tennis in before the ball was too drenched to bounce right and my glasses were too foggy to see thru.  Hopefully there will be a clear couple of hours tomorrow.  Of course, if they have it locked up like they did today I may have to rip the fence apart.  As it is, the door that I pushed through already has the chain-link stretched and coming loose.  Oh well, I’ll do what I have to, I guess.

On top of that, my caloric intake was atrocious!  I found a bag of cookies I missed.  I was under my 1,401 calorie budget before I opened that can of worms.  It’s getting harder to resist the temptations and I have a long way to go!  This is not making me happy.  I put way too hope on the tennis to take care of my calorie intake overages but on days like today it doesn’t do me any good.  I’d be better off not getting out of bed tomorrow if it’s going to rain all day.  At least if I’m sleeping I can’t be stuffing my face. 

As for home exercises, my knees hurt too much with the weather to be working out with Tony.  Those squats hurt too much.  I can do the calf exercises and the abductor/adductor exercises but the warm up is squats so I’m not sure how much of the ab/adductor exercises I could do, which is weird because I don’t have much trouble playing tennis and I’m actually moving pretty quick pivoting and ‘jogging’ to get to the ball in time.  Oh well, I will be going for a walk tomorrow if it is raining too hard for me to play tennis.

I’m ready for bed so I’ll get on with it…

Today is always a difficult day for me.  My son was born on this day back in 2000.  I lost him 5 years ago and it always hits me on his birthday.  I make a cake and eat his favorite foods so yes, I have gone way over my calorie budget again.  I did manage to get in an hour and a half on the courts in the cold weather though so I am not beating myself up over it.  I also noticed my SDSU sweatshirt is fitting a lot loser than it had been. :D  That brought my spirits up some.

Don’t panic, I’m keeping today’s blog short today on purpose.  I still haven’t read my assignment for Dramatic Lit tomorrow and it looks like a long assignment.

I will probably not blog on the weekends anymore.  I will type it up each day but won’t post it online until Monday’s.  Also, I am sorry for not adding up the calories and burned calories.  I remember Kyle asking me to but for some reason I didn’t think to do it.  I will start from now on.
