Last Day of May already?!? Where did it go???

First day of Summer Semester today… not as bad as I thought it would be but what the heck was with the frigging wind?!?  It was so COLD! L

Yet another 2,000+ calorie day but I have a feeling with my class schedule and my new diet (which will be starting Monday at the latest) my calorie count will be heading south.  At least the calorie intake doesn’t exceed the calories burned.  Not feeling my best today but I’m going to assume that has a LOT to do with my calorie count sky rocketing.

Feeling blah so moving this along as quickly as possible so I can get home.  Sorry again for another long silence between posts.  I should be getting internet at home soon.

HOLY COW!  Did you hear that storm last night?!?  Unbelievable!  It took me until after 2a to fall asleep.  Woke up at 8a having one heck of a strange dream.  Went back to sleep until around 10:30a when something hit my window.  Not sure what it was but I figured it was time to get up.  There were 2 rooms left to clean and I still had to put my desk back in my room but considering what I did the other day this was nothing.  Just needed to work up the energy to do the job. J  My apartment is starting to feel better every day.  Not sure how to finish it off yet but still considering.  Will figure it out and I’m sure it will be perfect… eventually.

“Today I don’t feel like doing anything” the theme song to my day (playing as I write today’s blog).  I slept in until 9:30a when my ex-roommate came to drop off the rest of the final utility bill.  I thought it was someone downstairs!  Was gonna stomp on the floor until I realized it was my door being knocked on. lol

I did do some workout in my living room while watching the experts play tennis then did some reading.  It was a nice day to relax.  Everyone ready for Memorial Day?  More rain and wind!  Woo hoo!!! L  Let’s all cross our fingers and hope it’s a clear and sunny day.  Enjoy!

Walked over to the clinic for weigh in, got to walk home in the rain.  I was really hoping to miss it but no such luck so I decided to enjoy a little longer walk since I was already damp.  Didn’t change BMR because I haven’t been to the library to check out what it is now.  I’ll do that Tuesday.

Way over on the intake again but did get in the exercise (throughout the day rather than before eating like a cow like I usually do) in an effort to counteract it… hopefully?  I was watching The Doctors today and they had a guy on who lost weight by only drinking juice.  He used one of those machines to get fruit and veggie juice.  I plan to use my next check to pick up one and give it a shot.  I can’t keep eating the crap I have been.  It depresses me too much.  I’ll make sure to check with a doctor before starting to make sure it’s a good idea.

I’ll keep you informed and you’ll be able to see if it works with my weigh in each week.

I think I’ve finally figured out why I eat so much some days and other days not so much.  The days I eat a lot I am anxiously thinking about the 13 mile marathon I am doing in 3 weeks.  The other days I am not focusing on it so am not as anxious.  The only problem is, in worrying about it I sabotage my chances of making it through. 

So, late last night while I was having this epiphany I decided to come up with a new phrase to live by: Live to Lose, Lose to Live.  I’m not sure if anyone has that copyrighted but I’ve never heard it before last night so I’m taking it.  Hopefully this will be a new motivator for me.  I’ve printed out several pages with this on it and posted them around my apartment hoping to keep me from sitting idle for too long.

Another day at home for the most part.  I did, however get some more active exercising in.  I did what I could but most of it was lying on the floor doing back strengthening, leg lifts and crunches.  I don’t think that falls under Pilates or stretching so I put it under Aerobics.

I also walked over to Admissions to see about adding one more class this fall.  Turns out I need a note for any of the classes needed to complete my degree.  Sadly, the professors to teach those courses are out of touch at the moment, they are all working on PRT.  LOVELY!  Oh well, I will just have to figure something else out.

While I did obliterate my caloric intake today, it wasn’t until after I realized how poorly I had done that I put in the extra exercises.  All in all it wasn’t as horrible a day as it could have been.

So today I am paying for yesterday.  Not sure what I did to make it hurt but my knee feels like someone is stabbing it every time I get up, bend it, or try to walk on it.  Lucky for me I can still use my arms and will have to settle for an upper body workout until my knee stops hurting.  Of course that means I will be sitting around the house (a.k.a. killing my calorie count yet again).
Some day it will level out.  Until then I will just have to accept the days I nosedive into oblivion…
